R.L.A. was founded in 1988 and operates mainly in Greater Manchester and surrounding areas.

Prior to setting up the practice, Robert had extensive experience as a Structural Engineer with International Consulting Engineers in the UK and West Africa. He has worked on projects ranging from town centre shopping developments, multi storey car parks, hospitals, commercial buildings, industrial buildings, bridges and a mosque.

Robert has also worked as a Contracts Manager for a construction company and as resident engineer on a brewery, a civic and commercial offices development and on the refurbishment of multi storey flats.

Prior to setting up the practice, Robert was Senior Structural Engineer with Tameside M.B.C.
